The General Store is open for business during Heritage Days in June and Reunion Days in September when it sells old-fashioned candy and ice cream. Flour from the flour mill, rope made on site, and bread from the Harvest Maids are also available during these events. Moving to the museum grounds in 2001, it also features a library.
A general store is a store where many kinds of merchandise are sold, but not in separate departments.

Displays include: bed pots, bottles, crocks, dishes, gas cans, horseshoes, jars, jugs, kettles, oil lanterns, pails, pots and pans, saws, suitcases, tins, tools, tubs, washboards, wood washers, etc.
